User Experience Developer

AREA203 is looking for a User Experience Developer to join our quickly expanding team. We are interested in hiring a creative, self-motivated programmer who can artfully turn design into code. This person will be an integral part of the Creative Department and will answer directly to the Director of User Experience.
Essential Functions:
- Build/Code static and dynamic pages
- Optimization of graphics for web and interactive projects
- Development of ActionScript
- Create code for front-end behaviors with Dynamic HTML
- Cross-browser web and email conflict debugging
- Develop and maintain coding standards to achieve efficiency in maintenance and portability
- Optimize pages for both human readers and search-engines
Skills Required:
- Excellent understanding of XHTML, CSS & JavaScript (ActionScript/Flex/Silverlight a big plus)
- At least working knowledge of Adobe Design Programs
- Basic to advanced understanding of design and typographic theory
- Knowledge of current CMS technology and implementation
- Experience with MooTools, jQuery, Prototype, or similar frameworks
- Knowledge of user-experience best practices in UI development
- Good understanding of how HTML relates to SEO
- Proficiency with assuring cross-browser/cross-platform compatibility
- Understanding of SVN and version control software
- Experience working with/around dynamic code (PHP, .NET) a plus
- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects
- Possess strong business ethics; be reliable and dependable
- Comfortable with both Apple and Windows OS environments
Experience Required:
A minimum of 5 years experience with User Experience (Front-End) Production in a professional setting.
A list of past produced URL’s required along with references.
